Aries Receiver Demands $4.6 Million From General Reinsurance Corp.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The receiver of Aries Insurance Co. has sued General Reinsurance Corp. to avoid and recover certain allegedly improper and fraudulent transfers made pursuant to an investment agreement and three reinsurance treaties between the parties. In re The Receivership of Aries Insurance Co. v. General Reinsurance Corp., No. 02-CA-1128 (N.D. Fla.).

The complaint, originally filed by the Florida Department of Financial Services in the Leon County (Fla.) Circuit Court, was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida on Oct. 7.
