MIAMI — A London reinsurance broker has moved to dismiss a second amended complaint accusing it of overcharging a Costa Rican insurer brokerage commission, arguing that the insurer has excised all references to industry standard from the revised complaint. Instituto Nacional de Seguros v. Hemispheric Reinsurance Group LLC, et al., No. 10-33653 (Fla. Cir. Ct., Miami-Dade Cty.).
In its motion filed in the Miami-Dade County (Fla.) Circuit Court, Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. argues that Instituto Nacional de Seguros seeks to hold Howden liable merely because INS believes the broker should have received less commission.
