MIAMI — A Florida fine dining restaurant has sued Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s London in an effort to recoup business income losses arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and related government closure orders, asserting that it sustained a “direct physical loss” of insured property.

In a complaint filed on Nov. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Anthony’s Runway 84 contends that COVID-19 and state and local emergency orders issued in response to the pandemic are covered under its policy.
