HARTFORD, Conn. — A Connecticut federal lawsuit filed has accused CIGNA Health and Life Insurance Co. of wrongly refusing to pay $4.6 million for COVID-19 testing in violation of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the CARES Act.

In a Nov. 6 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, a medical practice says CIGNA and Connecticut General Life Insurance Co. has denied reimbursement for COVID-19 testing-related services for more than 4,400 members or beneficiaries.
