Nationwide Says Printing Shop Did Not Sustain Physical Loss of Property During Pandemic

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Nationwide Insurance Company of America has asked a Florida federal judge to dismiss a printing shop’s COVID-19 business interruption insurance action, arguing that did not sustain “direct physical loss of or damage to covered property” as required by the policy.

In an Oct. 15 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Nationwide further contends that the policy it issued to Website Man Productions LLC d/b/a WM Printing excludes coverage for losses caused by a virus.
