Philadelphia Bar Sues Seneca Insurance for Coverage of COVID-19 Losses

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia bar and grill has sued Seneca Insurance Co. for coverage of business interruption losses it sustained when it was forced to temporarily close in compliance with government orders issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a complaint removed to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Oct. 9, Walnut Ace d/b/a Toasted Walnut Bar & Kitchen contends that it is owed more than $50,000 in coverage under the policy.
