Ill. Country Club Says COVID-19 Losses Covered Under Cincinnati Policy

CHICAGO — A Chicago-area country club has filed a proposed class action against Cincinnati Insurance Co. in federal court, seeking a ruling that COVID-19-related business losses constitute a covered ‘loss’ under the carrier’s ‘all-risk’ policies.

In an Aug. 14 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Valley Lo Club Association Inc.

Valley Lo Club in Glenview, Ill., offers its members an 18-hole golf course, a pro shop, a fitness center, locker rooms, tennis courts, paddle tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, youth play areas, a member conference room, and exercise studios.
