LYNCHBURG, Va. — A Virginia indoor shooting range and two gun rights advocacy groups have sued the state’s governor, accusing him of violating the state constitution by closing all indoor gun ranges to thwart the spread of COVID-19.
In an April 9 complaint filed in the Lynchburg Circuit Court, plaintiffs say the governor’s actions deprive them of their right to “hone their skills and proficiency in order to bear arms safely. They add that outdoor gun ranges do not adequately fulfill that need.
