Lamorak Moves to Compel London Reinsurers to Produce Olin Allocation Information

BOSTON — Lamorak Insurance Co. has moved to compel certain London Market Reinsurers (LMR) to produce documents and interrogatory relating to its 2009 settlement of pollution claims with Olin Corp., arguing that how the reinsurers allocated their settlement payments is relevant to the instant action.

In a Sept. 13 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Lamorak says given LMR’s assertion that Lamorak was required to allocate a particular share of its settlement payment to prejudgment interest, how LMR allocated their own settlement payments to Olin is relevant.
