Defendant Opposes Odyssey Re’s Request for $237,126 in Attorneys’ Fees, Costs

SAN DIEGO — A defendant in a $3.2 million fraud case has opposed Odyssey Reinsurance Co.’s request for $237,126 in attorneys’ fees and costs related to her failure to comply with an order requiring her to deposit funds in a court registry.
In an Aug. 9 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Diane Dostalik contends that Odyssey Re wrongfully seeks $35,445.50 in fees and $3,235 in costs incurred in the ordinary course of litigation and discovery, all of which are unrelated to the contempt proceedings.
