Calif. Employer Drops Appeal of Award Confirmation in Applied Underwriters Action

LOS ANGELES — A landscaping company will not challenge a California federal judge’s confirmation of an arbitration award issued in favor of Applied Underwriters Captive Risk Assurance Co. (AUCRA).

On March 18, the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals granted O’Connell Landscape Maintenance Inc.’s motion to dismiss the appeal of a confirmation ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
