Settlement Conference Scheduled in $3.2 Million Odyssey Re Action

SAN DIEGO — A California federal judge has scheduled a settlement conference in a case in which Odyssey Reinsurance Co. seeks payment of a $3.2 million judgment issued in its favor and against broker Cal-Regent Services Corp.

On Feb. 15, Magistrate Judge Michael Berg scheduled the settlement conference for March 25, and ordered all named parties and party representatives to attend in person.

Cal-Regent Insurance Services Corp. underwrote certain risks on behalf of State National Insurance Co. Odyssey Re reinsured State National under four Garage Liability Quota Share Reinsurance Agreements, which were in effect from 2002 to 2009.
