Ala. Federal Judge Cancels Pretrial Conference in $1.3 Million Reinsurance Action

MOBILE, Ala. - An Alabama federal judge has canceled a pretrial conference in a $1.3 million reinsurance action involving underlying flood claims, explaining that the case has been stayed pending arbitration, with a report due to the court within 10 days of the conclusion of the arbitration.

In a Feb. 15 order, Senior Judge W. Harold Albritton of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama that the pretrial conference scheduled for April 5 and the trial of the case, set during the term of court beginning on May 7, are canceled.
