ATLANTA — An SGA Re shareholder is urging a Georgia federal court to allow her to intervene in Canal Insurance Co.’s lawsuit against Golden Isles Reinsurance Co., arguing that no other defendant in the action adequately represents her interests.
In her Nov. 16 reply filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Joyce J. Duckett further argued that her motion to intervene is timely because it was filed only three weeks after Canal filed a separate, related action against her, and immediately upon learning Canal did not intend to consolidate the two actions.
