OMAHA, Neb. — A Nebraska federal magistrate judge has set Dec. 1 as the discovery deadline in a dispute over whether Top’s Personnel Inc. owes Applied Underwriters Inc. $152,616.35 under a promissory note executed pursuant to a reinsurance participation agreement.
In an Oct. 20 order, Judge Cheryl R. Zwart of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska further held that Top’s has until Dec. 15 to amend its answer and allege counterclaims. The deadline for filing motions for summary judgment is Feb. 2, 2018
