NEW YORK — The principals of Beechwood Re, who are the target of a lawsuit accusing them of mishandling reinsurance trust assets, have opposed plaintiffs’ request for expedited discovery, arguing that the plaintiffs lack a viable basis for their request.
In their Aug. 17 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, defendants Scott Taylor and Mosche Feuer further argue that as a general rule, discovery cannot begin until a Rule 26(f) conference has taken place.
