NEW YORK — Counsel for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. is urging a New York federal judge to consider the parties’ renewed cross-motions for summary judgment in an action in which FFIC seeks $1.7 million in reinsurance proceeds from OneBeacon Insurance Co. for the settlement of underlying asbestos claims.
In a Sept. 15 letter to Judge Paul G. Gardephe of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, FFIC notes it has been more than 15 months since the parties fully submitted their renewed motions.
