BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A dispute arising from a series of workers’ compensation insurance and reinsurance contracts issued by Applied Underwriters Inc. and its affiliates should not be transferred to Nebraska because it would not be convenient for the policyholder, a Connecticut federal judge has ruled.

In a Sept. 13, Judge Stephan Underhill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut found the insured did not establish minimum contracts with Nebraska by entering into the contracts with a Nebraska-based insurer.
