Endurance Seeks Cedent’s Communications with Another Reinsurer Involving Same Trucking Accident

NEW YORK — Endurance Assurance Corp. has moved a New York federal judge to compel Florists’ Insurance Co. to produce communications with another of its reinsurers concerning a claim arising from a 2008 trucking accident, arguing they are relevant to Florists’ reinsurance claim with Endurance arising from the same accident.

In a July 21 motion filed before Judge Lewis Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Endurance maintains that communications between Florists and its other reinsurer about the same claim are relevant because they concern the same facts at issue in the instant case.
