SEATTLE — A plaintiff’s demand that insurers produce all documents “related” to its contested claim for coverage, including documents concerning the meaning of the disputed policy terms, and reinsurance policies, is too broad and should be limited, a Washington federal judge has ruled.

On April 5, Judge Robert S.
