Plaintiff Appealing Dismissal of Pa. Mortgage Reinsurance Kickback Action

PITTSBURGH — A plaintiff is appealing a Pennsylvania federal judge’s award of summary judgment to Bank of America Corp. and its captive reinsurer on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act claims in a mortgage reinsurance kickback action.

The appeal, docketed in the 3rd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, will also challenge the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania’s subsequent dismissal of the action.
