CHICAGO — R&Q Reinsurance Co. has filed an amended complaint in Illinois federal court in which it asserts that it is not liable to pay a $1.5 million billing submitted by The American Insurance Co. because the insurer failed to provide R&Q with timely notice of the asbestos claims giving rise to the billing.
In a Sept. 16 amended complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, R&Q has asserted two claims of declaratory judgment and a breach of contract claim against TAIC.
