SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge has determined that oral argument is not necessary to resolve whether a $1.5 million reinsurance dispute between R&Q Reinsurance Corp. and The American Insurance Co. belongs in California or should be tried in Pennsylvania.
On Aug. 15, Judge Jon Tigar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California canceled a hearing scheduled for Aug. 25.
