John Deere Awarded $25,101 in Attorneys’ Fees Incurred in Confirming Award

PHOENIX — An Arizona federal judge has awarded John Deere Insurance Co. $25,101.50 in attorneys’ fees incurred in connection with its efforts to confirm a reinsurance arbitration award, explaining that the insurer is entitled to fees relating to all services rendered in the defense of the award.

In the July 22 order, Judge Paul Rosenblatt of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona deducted $1,577 from the sum sought by John Deere, ruling that certain time sheet entries and messenger fees are not reimbursable.
