UTICA, N.Y. — Utica Mutual Insurance Co. is urging a New York federal judge to consider a recent California appellate ruling addressing aggregate limits in connection with summary judgment motions filed in a reinsurance dispute with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co.
In a June 28 letter filed before Judge David N. Hurd of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, Utica says the California ruling supports its position that it did not issue products coverage without aggregate limits.
