John Deere Defends Request for $28,680 in Attorneys’ Fees Following Confirmation of Award

PHOENIX — John Deere Insurance Co. asserts that its request for $28,680.20 in attorneys’ fees and costs following confirmation of a reinsurance arbitration award is reasonable, and that it incurred the expense in defending Scottsdale’s efforts to have the award modified.

In its April 14 reply filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, John Deere further asserted that under Arizona law, the court has the discretion to award reasonable attorneys’ fees to the successful party.
