ATLANTA — The defendants in a reinsurance fraud action have opposed Canal Insurance Co.’s motion to amend its complaint to assert an additional and/or alternative ground for breach of contract and to allege that the deficient status of a trust account is a separate breach of defendants’ obligation to maintain adequate reserves.

In their April 4 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, defendants assert that the motion is untimely and is not supported by the facts.
