Ill. Federal Judge Transfers Reinsurance Dispute to Eastern District of Pennsylvania

CHICAGO — An Illinois federal judge has transferred a reinsurance dispute between R&Q Reinsurance Co. and St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co. to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, finding that the bulk of the events material to the action occurred in or near that district.

In a March 30 order, Judge Sharon J. Coleman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois further noted that the parties and a majority of the witnesses are located in or near the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
