CHICAGO — Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Co. has moved for leave to file a second amended complaint against American Medical and Life Insurance Co. in a dispute involving medical reinsurance, arguing that AMLI’s financial condition has significantly worsened.
In a Jan. 6 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, GTL says that in light of AMLI’s financial constraints, it seeks to add allegations of contractual indemnity and security, plus a request for specific performance.
