N.Y. Federal Judge Schedules Trial in Reinsurance Action Involving Burnham Asbestos Claims

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A New York federal judge has issued a scheduling order in a reinsurance dispute between Utica Mutual Insurance Co. and R&Q Reinsurance Co., slating the case for a Dec. 5, 2016, jury trial.

In a Nov. 5 order, Judge Brenda K. Sannes of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, ordered the parties to submit their pretrial submissions by Nov. 14, 2016, and advise the court of any settlement or resolution by Nov. 30, 2016.
