CHICAGO — R&Q Reinsurance Co. has asked an Illinois federal court to enter a default judgment against St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co. in a $4.4 million reinsurance dispute involving a "notice of occurrence" provision.
In a Sept. 29 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, R&Q asserts that St. Paul has failed to respond to, or otherwise defend, the allegations in the complaint despite being properly served more than 21 days ago.
