NEW YORK — Counsel for R&Q Reinsurance Co. has asked a New York federal court for a pre-motion conference in anticipation of its motion to dismiss an amended complaint filed by TIG Insurance Co. seeking $872,498 in reinsurance proceeds.
In an Oct. 6 letter filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, R&Q’s attorney contends that TIG should have dismissed its action because it was improperly filed against Randall & Quilter Reinsurance Co. and its purported subsidiary, R&Q.
