NEW YORK — A New York state judge has denied R&Q Reinsurance Co.’s request to reargue its position that certain documents it seeks in a $1.3 million dispute with three American International Group insurers are protected under attorney-client privilege.
In the order, Judge Jeffrey K. Onig of the New York County Supreme Court also denied R&Q’s request to dismiss two of the insurers’ claims from the amended complaint for failure to comply with discovery, finding the insurers have not acted willfully or in bad faith.
