DETROIT — Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co. and Westport Insurance Co. have agreed to voluntarily dismiss their $1.9 million reinsurance dispute involving MMMIC’s settlement of claims asserted against its insured following a 2002 farmhouse explosion.
In a Sept. 15 stipulation filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, the parties agreed that “all claims and counterclaims shall be dismissed with prejudice and on the merits pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1)(A)(ii), each party to bear its own costs and fees.”
