Settlement Conference Scheduled in $1.65 Million Connecticut Reinsurance Action

HARTFORD, Conn. — A settlement conference has been scheduled in an action in which Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. is accusing six reinsurers of breaching two reinsurance certificates by failing to pay $1.65 million in billings for an underlying settlement of environmental claims.
According to a July 29 order, Magistrate Judge William I. Garfinkel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut will oversee the conference, the date and time of which has yet to be disclosed.
