DETROIT — Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Co. has moved for a partial stay in a reinsurance dispute, arguing that Westport Insurance Co. is seeking to litigate claims under a separate excess of loss reinsurance contract that is not at issue in the case.
In its June 30 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, MMMIC contends that any disputes arising under that separate contract are subject to arbitration and cannot be decided in this action.
