BOSTON — A Massachusetts federal judge has entered final judgment in favor of First State Insurance Co. and New England Reinsurance Corp. in a dispute over a reinsurance arbitration award, finding that the arbitrators did not exceed the scope of their authority in crafting the award.
On April 29, Judge Indira Talwani of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts confirmed the final arbitration award, which encompasses the “Phase I” and “Phase II” awards issued by the arbitral panel.
