Reinsurers Urge N.Y. Federal Judge to Rule on Motion to Overturn Confirmation of $40 Million Arbitration Award

NEW YORK — Equitas Insurance Ltd. and Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s of London have notified a New York federal judge that 60 days have passed since their motion to overturn judicial confirmation of a $40 million arbitration award was fully briefed and that no ruling has been issued or oral argument scheduled.

In the April 21 letter to Judge Denise L. Cote of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Underwriters noted that the motion, along with its motion for post-judgment discovery was fully briefed on Feb. 20.
