PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Yosemite Insurance Co. has denied allegations that it breached agreements it entered into with Seaton Insurance Co. in connection with the parties’ settlement of a reinsurance lawsuit by failing to pay $113,796 in billings.

In a March 24 answer filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, Yosemite refutes Seaton’s claims that it has wrongly refused to pay the billings.

Yosemite had issued Seaton's predecessor, Unigard Mutual Insurance Co., eight facultative reinsurance treaties covering excess umbrella liability policies issued by Unigard to Air Products and Chemicals Inc., Champion International Corp., El Paso Natural …
