TAMPA, Fla. — Old Republic National Title Insurance Co. is urging a Florida federal court to dismiss a cedent’s counterclaims in a reinsurance dispute, arguing that it did not breach the reinsurance agreement by reserving its rights to seek recovery of its payment of a $3.8 million reinsurance claim.

In its March 18 motion to dismiss, ORNTIC further asserts that it did not breach the reinsurance agreement by refusing to pay First American Titile Insurance Co.’s defense costs, asserting that such costs are not covered by the agreement.
