CONCORD, N.H. — EIFlow Insurance Ltd. has moved to quash TIG Insurance Co.’s service of a complaint seeking $2 million in reinsurance proceeds, arguing that the lawsuit was improperly served to the New Hampshire insurance commissioner.
In a March 9 motion filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, EIFlow argues that service on the commissioner was improper because it has not engaged in insurance business in New Hampshire and TIG’s claims do not arise from in-state insurance business.
