TIG Says Service of $2 Million Reinsurance Complaint to Mendes & Mount Was Proper

CONCORD, N.H. — TIG Insurance Co. has opposed a motion to dismiss its lawsuit seeking $2 million from EIFlow Insurance Ltd., asserting that Mendes & Mount was the proper party for service of the complaint according to the reinsurance contract and industry custom.
In its Feb. 27 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, TIG argues that Mendes & Mount is unquestionably the correct agent for service of suit, and TIG' s method of service via Federal Express was proper under New Hampshire law.
