NEW YORK — A third-party claims administrator has opposed Starr Indemnity & Liability Co.’s request to amend its complaint to add claims of conversion and breach of fiduciary duty relating to allegedly unreasonable charges for reimbursements collected from the Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association.
In its Jan. 30 opposition filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, American Claims Management Inc. asserted that Starr’s motion is untimely and prejudicial and that the proposed claims are duplicative of its breach of contract claim.
