ALBANY, N.Y. — In a lawsuit pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, Utica Mutual Insurance Co. is demanding a total of $9.16 million in reinsurance proceeds for underlying asbestos exposure claims filed against Burnham Corp.
The complaint was originally filed on Dec. 22 against Munich Reinsurance America Inc. and Transatlantic Reinsurance Co. in the Oneida County Supreme Court. The reinsurers removed the case to federal court on Dec. 24.
