- Motion for Summary Judgment
HARTFORD, Conn. — Odyssey Reinsurance Co. has moved for summary judgment in its lawsuit against Cal-Regent Insurance Services Corp., asserting there is no genuine issue of material fact that Cal-Regent breached a reinsurance agreement by failing to pay $2.74 million in adjusted commission.
In its Oct. 22 filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Odyssey Re contends that Cal-Regent failed to include a “debit carry forward” in calculating the commissions it owes for the 2006 underwriting year and failed to pay adjusted commission for the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007 underwriting years.
