NEW YORK — An arbitration panel did not manifestly disregard the law in determining that a shipper is entitled to 0.65 percent in address commission because no evidence was presented at the arbitration indicating that the parties agreed to a higher rate.
On July 21, Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York confirmed the award, finding the arbitrators did not “willfully flout the governing law by refusing to apply it.”
