HARTFORD, Conn. — Cal-Regent Insurance Services Corp. is urging a Connecticut federal judge to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction Odyssey Reinsurance Co.’s lawsuit demanding $2.7 million in commissions allegedly due under a quota share reinsurance agreement.

In a May 29 motion to dismiss filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Cal-Regent says lacks sufficient contacts with Connecticut to meet due process requirements and fundamental rules of fairness, therefore the complaint should be dismissed pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(2).
