OMAHA, Neb. — National Indemnity Co. has asked a Nebraska federal court to bar Transatlantic Reinsurance Co. and Fair American Insurance and Reinsurance Co. from forcing NICO to participate in an ongoing reinsurance arbitration between TRC, Fair American and Continental Insurance Co.
In its March 11 motion for a preliminary injunction filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, NICO asserts that it will be irreparably harmed if it is forced to arbitrate because the arbitration has been ongoing for a year and involves contracts to which NICO has no connection.
