Pa. Appellate Court Affirms Summary Judgment for Swiss Re in Commission Dispute

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Pennsylvania intermediate court has affirmed a grant of summary judgment to Swiss Reinsurance Corp., finding the reinsurer paid a cedent provision commission pursuant to reinsurance and retrocessional contracts between the parties.
On Nov. 1, the Pennsylvania Superior Court found that before filing this action, the cedent, Eastern Atlantic Insurance Co., never objected to or raised an issue with the monthly reinsurance statements it received.
