NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has transferred to Massachusetts a case in which First State Insurance Co. seeks confirmation of a final arbitration award in its reinsurance contract dispute with National Casualty Co.
On Sept. 29, Judge Alison J. Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found the petition to confirm should be consolidated with an action pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts that arose from the same arbitration.
